Aruba is a wonderful destination for a vacation of relaxation and fun. If you prefer history and culture, Aruba is probably not the island for you.

Aruba’s Palm Beach, with its idyllic ambiance, is one of the world’s best. In the evening, you can enjoy fabulous dining and drinking spots, strolls on the beach, big-stage revues and gambling.

Did we mention the weather is great? Average temperature is 82 degrees, and the sunshine is accompanied by trade winds and low humidity. Aruba receives less rain than virtually any other island in the Caribbean.

Aruba is a small island, just 20 miles long and 6.25 miles wide. Its land mass is but 116 square miles. Its coastline on the leeward side is sandy and smooth. Conversely, the eastern edge is rugged.

Almost all the hotels and resorts line a breathtaking beach on Aruba’s northeast side. Most of the accommodations are all-inclusive self-contained resorts.

Aruba’s best hotel is generally considered to be the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino. Its public areas and grounds are spectacular. The bedrooms are luxurious and feature original artwork. The casino has entertainment and gaming tables. The Hyatt’s Crown Jewel is a multi-level pool complex and lagoon.

The Westin Aruba Resort & Spa is up there with the Hyatt in class. It’s been renovated and now offers everything from spa treatments to water sports. A couple of the island’s finest dining options, Azull and Pago Pago, are within the resort’s confines. The Radison Aruba Resort & Casino is a third luxurious option.

Three of the best casinos are in hotels. Casablanca Casino in the Westin sports a design theme inspired by the 1940’s movie classic of the same name. Blackjack, poker, craps, roulette and of course one-armed bandits are here. The Occidental Grand Aruba Casino is famous for Caribbean stud poker but also has blackjack, roulette, baccarat, craps and slot machines. One of the largest and most plush casinos is the Copacabana in the Hyatt Regency Aruba.

Aruba presents more Las Vegas-style entertainment than any other Caribbean island. Some of the best shows are put on at the Crystal Theater in the Renaissance Beach Aruba Resort & Casino.
